A thoughtful update to our packaging
Transition underway (since 2026)
We’ve begun transitioning our bags to a new material containing 40% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. This reduces our reliance on virgin materials and supports a more circular approach to packaging.
While our original kraft bags have been an important part of our journey, this new format improves consistency, durability, and overall sustainability while helping ensure a better experience as we grow.
As part of this transition, we will be retiring our kraft bag recycling program after 10 years. We will continue to honor any kraft bags that have already been collected.
As a certified B Corporation, we evaluate every decision with long-term environmental and social impact in mind. We’re committed to making thoughtful, long-term improvements—and this is one step forward.

It all began at local farmers markets where we began selling our crazy popular popcorn. We had to find a bag that protected our popcorn and not add to landfills & trash in our oceans. Popcorn snack bags cannot be recycled at local centers. So we collect a giant box full of Popzup Popcorn snack bags and ship it to be recycled and reused. It’s a win-win-win!
